A message from our Managing Director

Welcome to 2019, I hope you’ve had a great start to the year. We’re thrilled to help you manage your fleet and encourage you to take advantage of the great benefits your fuel card provides.

I’d like to thank you for participating in our surveys during 2018. One of your suggestions was to increase the number of locations accepting Fleet Card for tyres and other accessories. So we are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Australia-wide network, JAX Tyres. Please scroll down for details of the initial offer. Your continued feedback is important to me, so I’d encourage you to complete the survey below, it helps us improve our products and services.

Many thanks,

Michael ShurlinManaging Director, FLEETCOR Australasia

Viva Energy and Coles Express extend and strengthen their Retail Alliance

Viva Energy and Coles Express have announced a 10 year extension to their Alliance, through to 2029.

Viva Energy will now take full responsibility for the setting of retail fuel prices, whilst Coles Express will remain responsible for convenience store operations. I’m confident that these new arrangements will create the conditions where the Shell network is re-established as Australia’s leading fuel and convenience business.

As a preferred partner of Viva Energy and Coles Express, we welcome this positive move as it will benefit our customers. The renegotiated terms are expected to come into effect early March 2019.

Stay tuned…

It’s no surprise that excessive heat can have an impact on cars. So, do you know how to look after your car and protect your passengers in the warmer months?

✓ Check the level of coolant fluid in your car – keep it high!
✓ Cover your car when possible to avoid colour fading
✓ Invest in windscreen sunshades for when you have to park in the sun
✓ Monitor battery fluid and corrosion
✓ Make sure your tyre pressure is correct – the heat makes a blowout more likely
✓ Keep your car clean. Removing dust will improve visibility
✓ Change your oil and oil filter regularly as the engine is more likely to overheat in summer
✓ Stay cool! Ensure that your air-conditioning unit has been inspected prior to long road-trips
